Standard Strollers

Most families choose standard strollers as their primary baby strollers. They are heavier than the lightweight umbrella strollers, but they also offer well padded seats, extra storage and lots of accessories. Although styles do vary slightly, most standard strollers have a box-like design with wheels in four corners and a sun canopy. The prices of standard strollers varies greatly, but generally a higher priced stroller will have a higher quality frame and wheels, enabling it to last for several children. If a full recline feature is included, a standard stroller can be used from infancy to about 4 years old.

The weight and size of the standard stroller is its only disadvantage. It may not be appropriate for frequent travel or certain activities.
