Peg Perego Stroller
Peg Perego

Company Info:
Since the 1950s, Peg Perego has operated as a family owned company. Its founder, Gueppe Perego, was unhappy that baby carriages were not widely available for many people in Italy, so he built his own. Others in the neighborhood saw the stroller his wife was using and contracted Gueppe to make one for their children. Now Peg Perego products include standard, umbrella, pram, double, and triple strollers, and can be found in many major retailers and online.

Aside from this, Peg Perego has issued many recalls for products, including strollers and stroller parts. It seems that customers either love their Peg Perego stroller, or hate it. Be sure to test drive one before you buy to make sure it is right for you.

Peg Perego Reviews

Peg Perego Plinko P3 Classico
High Customer Rating
Type: Umbrella
Price: $150 - $350

The Plinko, made by Peg Perego is a big hit with parents who are looking for a little more in an umbrella stroller. It has many unique features like adjustable handlebars, padded seats, and useful sun canopy. All Peg Perego models come equipped with freedom move harness. Peg Perego’s patented system has a five point harness that straps around baby. You can attach the straps to the backrest which keeps baby secure, but also allows him to move about freely!

One of the biggest cons to this item is the toddler bar. Though it is not marketed as a Sit-and-Stand stroller, the Plinko does come with a bar on the back that a toddler can "supposedly" stand on. One mother stated that when she talked to a sales representative from Peg Perego he said that the bar was not recommended in the United States. If the parent pushing the stroller let go, the toddler’s weight would likely to tip the Plinko over! She explained that Europe has very lax safety standards, and there are no regulations to check this design. Just one more thing to check on when buying a stroller.

Pros: excellent sun canopy, lightweight, adjustable handlebars, easy to fold, easy to maneuver, well padded, accepts infant car seats, compact, easy to transport, sturdy
Cons: small cup holder, basket is hard to access and is small

Plinko P3 Specs
Age: Suitable from birth
Weight: 15 pounds
Safety: Five point harness
Features: adjustable handles, freedom move harness, built in 2 position footrest, removable and adjustable canopy, child snack tray, reclines to 4 positions, aluminum frame, carrying handle

Peg Perego Aria MT
Medium Customer Rating
Type: Umbrella
Price: $100 - $200

The Aria MT is another one of Peg Perego’s lightweight strollers. One father described it as an “umbrella stroller on steroids,” and that is pretty much what it is! At only 9 pounds, the Aria MT is super light and easy to take anywhere. The seat is also padded and can fully recline for baby to nap. All Peg Perego models also come equipped with freedom move harness. Peg Perego’s patented system has a five point harness that straps around baby. You can attach the straps to the backrest which keeps baby secure, but also allows him to move about freely!

On the other hand, the sun canopy on the Aria MT is not useful at all. It is very small and does not offer much protection. You can get an extension, but it will cost you some extra cash. For how much this stroller costs, you should get a few more features.

Pros: lightweight, easy to maneuver, easy to fold, reclining and padded seat, functional cup holder, accepts infant car seats, easy to clean, easy to transport
Cons: medium basket, useless sun canopy, wheels can stick

Aria MT Specs
Age: Suitable from birth
Weight: 9 pounds

Features: wheel suspension, freedom move harness, child snack tray, reclines to 4 positions, carrying handle

Peg Perego Duette SW
Low Customer Rating
Type: Double
Price: $600 - $800

The Peg Perego Duette SW is an inline design that is making a buzz. One of the most popular features of the stroller is the seats. You can arrange them both to face you, or face out. They can also face each other or away from each other. If you have an infant the Peg Perego car seats can pop onto the frame in place of the seat.

Another unique feature is the steering wheel! No handlebar here! Peg Perego has a unique design that, while it takes some getting used to, is very easy to use. The Duette SW also comes with hoods and cold weather boots.

The down side to the stroller is its folding. The seats that everyone loves have to come off in order to fully fold the frame. If you have a large vehicle, this is not a problem. Also, as with any double this stroller is heavy. Once you get used to it though, it may not be a problem.

Pros: removable seats, sun canopy, well padded seats, large basket, reclining seats, smooth ride
Cons: inconvenient to fold, heavy, bulky

Duette SW Specs
Age: Suitable from birth
Weight: 42 pounds
Safety: Five point harness
Features: adjustable steering wheel, 12” wheels, wheel suspension, freedom move harness, reclines to 4 positions, accepts Peg Perego car seats

Peg Perego Triplette SW
High Customer Rating
Type: Triple
Price: $950 - $1,050

Many parents are calling the Peg Perego Triplette a lifesaver! With three children it can be literally impossible to get out of the house. But the Triplette is a practical was to relieve cabin fever! Each seat can hold up to 50 pounds and is still relatively easy to steer. The new steering wheel design is easy to use and shocks ensure a smooth ride.

Depending on your lifestyle, the folding process may be a con to you. For the stroller to fold up completely you must remove the seats and wheels. Most of the reviews state that this is super easy to do and only takes a few minutes.

As with any double or triple stroller, there are going to be complaints as to the weight and bulk of this stroller. Just keep in mind that this is the equivalent of three strollers. You are moving three children and it will require giving up the light umbrella strollers.

Pros: easy to maneuver, well balanced, shocks, smooth ride, removable seat, durable
Cons: folding, heavy, bulky

Duette SW Specs
Age: Suitable from birth and/or up to 50 pounds
Weight: 42 pounds
Safety: Five point harness
Features: adjustable steering wheel, 12” wheels, wheel suspension, freedom move harness, reclines to 4 positions, accepts Peg Perego car seats

Peg Perego Venezia
Low Customer Rating
Type: Standard/Pram
Price: $250 - $350

While most parents bought the Peg Perego Venezia because of its beauty and charm, they all seemed to have an unpleasant surprise after purchasing this expensive stroller.

After reviews praised the Venezia for its outward appearance, they spoke of its performance. It seems that the fabric on this stroller snags and frays very easily, making the canopy and seat look worn. The plastic does not wear well either. Many parents complained about the small basket tearing as well. On top of all this, the Venezia’s parts as very low quality. The major complaint was that the wheels squeaked, and did not turn correctly.

The most popular feature for the Venezia is the reversible handlebars. The baby can face you or look out on the busy world. The seat also fully reclines, transforming the stroller into a charming pram.

Overall this model is a disappointment. One would expect more for the price and from the Peg Perego brand.

Pros: reversible and height adjustable handlebars, carriage option, accepts infant car seat, smooth ride, fully reclining seat
Cons: poor quality, fabric frays easily, very small basket

Venezia Specs
Age: Suitable from birth and/or up to 40 pounds
Weight: 17 pounds
Safety: Five point harness
Features: freedom move harness, accepts matching Peg Perego car seat, child snack tray, reclines to 3 positions

Peg Perego Aria Twin
Medium Customer Rating
Type: Double
Price: $250 - $350

At first glace the Peg Perego Aria Twin may look like a trendy side-by-side stroller, but after reading some reviews the truth comes out. On the up side, the Aria Twin is very compact and easy to maneuver. But its good qualities stop there.

The Aria Twin just seems to sag everywhere. The small basket is not useful at all because the weight of any object will let the mesh basked drag on the ground. Not great for things that need to be kept clean. The seats also sag after some use, especially if the children riding are of different ages. If you do have children who are not similar in age the Aria Twin does not distribute the weight very evenly. Finally, this stroller has very small wheels, which seem suitable for only the smoothest of surfaces. Many reviews complain of the wheels getting caught in cracks in the side walk or stuck in grass and gravel.

Granted, this is the only side-by-side model Peg Perego has. But overall, not the quality product that one has come to expect from this company.

Pros: fits through standard doorway, reclining seats, independent sun canopies, easy to fold, very compact, easy to maneuver
Cons: basket is small and it sags, small canopies, flimsy cup holder, bumpy ride

Aria Twin Specs
Age: Suitable from birth and/or up to 80 pounds (Or 40 pounds per seat)
Weight: 16 pounds
Safety: Five point harness
Features: child snack tray, suspension, freedom move harness, seat reclines
