The Mountain Buggy &Reg story began in 1992 when a New Zealand couple set out to create a new kind of pushchair. They needed a pram that would cope with the rigours of their active outdoor lifestyle and allow them to go anywhere with their kids.
In a case of true Kiwi ingenuity, the fitness fanatical parents designed a stroller that could go off-road in all sorts of environments, without compromising the safety of the child. They called their invention the Terrain and the first Mountain Buggy &Reg was born.
