Umbrella Strollers: High Customer Ratings
Price Range: $130 - $350
Pros: easy to fold, very easy to maneuver, high quality product, no assembly required, easy for tall parents to push, easy to open and close, easy to clean, very light weight, trendy color selection, smaller wheels makes it a good indoor stroller
Cons: a bit pricey, Seat not adjustable making it uncomfortable for a sleeping child, child must be older that six months, not very much sun protection

Jogger Strollers: Medium to Low Customer Ratings
Price Range: $200 - $300
Pros: very compact, adjustable handles
Cons: poorly built (reviews complained of loose screws and wheels falling out of the axle hole), expensive, small storage basket

Double Strollers: High Customer Ratings
Price Range: $225 - $400
Pros: light weight, compact, super easy to fold, easy to maneuver around tight spaces, can easily seat an infant and a toddler, well designed, high quality, can easily fit many kinds of car seats into one side
Cons: small wheels can make it hard to push over uneven surfaces, heavy when folded, poorly built, not enough padding in the seats

Overall, Maclaren received excellent reviews on their umbrella and double strollers. Reviews praised its maneuverability, sturdy frame, and easy storage features. On the other hand the jogger received poor ratings. The problems seem to be serious as well, with most reviewers complaining of parts falling off. Not only is this a lack of quality and an inconvenience for the parent, it is unsafe for the child!

The only other popular complaint against Maclaren was very poor customer service. Customers complained they were ignored when they called the company with a problem and it often took months to resolve the smallest difficulties. On the whole, Maclaren seems to do very well with most of its models and customers don’t seem to mind paying a little more for the quality.

Maclaren Twin Techno
High Customer Rating
Type: Double
Price: $200 - $400

For parents who have two children there are so many double strollers to choose from. The Maclaren Twin Techno is a versatile, side by side design that is easy to push and can fit through any standard doorway. Reviews praise the Twin Techno for its high handlebars. Tall parents are comfortable pushing their babies around without bending over. On the down side, the Twin Techno’s narrow design can make it uncomfortable for older children. Though Maclaren recommends the stroller for children up to 66 pounds, some of the reviews claimed otherwise. One mother said her 40 pound child was squished into the narrow seat. When the reviews and the manufacturer say differently, it is important to test drive a stroller to make sure it is right for you.

Pros: handles are perfect for tall parents, sturdy, adequate storage baskets, reclining seats, fits through doorways and elevators, folds compactly, accommodates infants and toddlers, easy to maneuver
Cons: takes some practice to fold and unfold easily, narrow seats, small cup holder, harness is hard to adjust

Maclaren Mac 3
Medium Customer Rating
Type: Jogger
Price: $200 - $350

Maclaren is known for its innovative designs and quality products, but its Mac 3 Jogging stroller leaves a lot to be desired. All of the reviews were unanimous on several points. The Mac 3’s frame was not properly aligned and that causes the tires to wear very fast. Also, the number of complaints that parts were coming off was astounding. Many reviews said that the handles and wheels popped off or the basket tore after some use. Most of these customers had only had their stroller for a matter of months.

This stroller also has a three wheel design, but is not a true jogging stroller. The three wheel design is stylish, and it gives you more maneuverability, but this stroller is not meant to go off road or to be used while jogging. It takes a specific design to do this, one that the Mac 3 does not have. It is merely for walking and will handle bumps or cracks in the side walk well. Because of this and the other problems, be sure to exercise caution if buying one of these strollers.

Pros: lightweight, compact, air-inflated tires, accommodated babies and toddlers, tall handles, easy to maneuver
Cons: wheels, handles, and basket can break after use, folding takes practice, small storage basket, hard to fold, poor wheel alignment, not great for jogging, tires wear down quickly

Mac 3 Specs
Age: Suitable from birth and/or up to 55 pounds
Weight: 18 pounds
Safety: Five point harness
Features: seat reclines into two separate positions, includes a rain cover, removable and washable seat fabric, carry strap for easy transportation

It has a few more features than a regular umbrella stroller such as the adjustable footrest, but these do not compromise the functionality. Reviews praise the Quest Sport for the ease with which you can maneuver and fold this model. You can take it anywhere and not worry about getting stuck trying to transport your stroller.

Pros: adjustable footrest, reclining seat, easy to fold, lightweight, easy to maneuver, compact, easy to transport, adequate storage basket
Cons: no cup holder, really easy to fold it just takes some practice

Maclaren Easy Traveler
High Customer Ratings
Type: Travel System
Price: $60 - $90

This is a lightweight travel system frame. It does not come with a car seat, but a Graco Snugride is recommended. Customers seem very pleased with this product because of its compactness and huge storage basket, which is perfect to use while shopping with your baby. Reviews also like that the frame folds down very small and does not take up very much trunk space. On the down side, you can only use this travel system while your baby fits into the car seat. The convenience, however, might be worth the extra cash.

Pros: large storage basket, easy to fold, folds very compactly, easy to maneuver, adjustable support bar, lightweight
Cons: small and useless cup holder

Easy Traveler Specs

Weight: 10.6 pounds (without the car seat)

Some reviews did complain about the fabric though. This stroller is lined with an easy to clean, plastic like fabric. Some parents might think it is uncomfortable for their baby, so be sure to check out that feature. Most of all, reviews complained that this stroller was overpriced for the quality and features that you get.

Beside these, the Quest Mod also has a pouch behind the seat for extra storage and within easy reach of mom or dad. On the flip side, reviews complained that when a child was in the seat it was hard to get into the basket. Others said this model was hard to fold, but other reviews confirmed that it just takes some practice to get the hand of this new model.
