Advance Mobility™ is a division of The Baby Jogger Company. Their original design was to manufacture high performance jogging strollers. In the past 20 years Baby Jogger has become known worldwide for quality, design and functionality. In 1984, Phil Baechler, established The Baby Jogger Company. Being an avid runner, he saw an opportunity to spend quality time with his son while doing what he loved. Finding out that standard 4 wheel strollers were not designed to handle all the stresses of terrain and speeds, he decided to create a 3 wheel design and name it The Baby Jogger. With the increase in demand for these jogging strollers, The Baby Jogger Company began to expand their product line. The need for a double jogging stroller seemed to be the most requested, so they designed The Twinner. These strollers both were designed to handle all types of running, but weren't very practical, as they didn't have a folding mechanism. Over the next 10 years, Baby Jogger designed and manufactured various models of jogging strollers; Zipper, WalkAbout, FunAbout, Supper Jogger and Super Twinner. But without the folding mechanisms these strollers, worked but were very hard to transport. So in 1994, they released the new generation of jogging strollers; Baby Jogger 2 and the Twinner 2. Both of these models had the folding features and set the standard for the future of Baby Jogger. Today Baby Jogger is known as one of the industries leading Jogging Stroller manufactures. Safety, affordability and comfort; for both parents and baby; are the driving forces behind such models as the Q-Series, City Series and Performance Series
. All of these jogging strollers are designed to be lightweight and aerodynamic, to ensure a smooth run and ride. Advance Mobility is just a division of this growing company. Baby Jogger saw the need for special needs strollers and push chairs. They have taken designs that worked in the jogging stroller industry and applied it.
